Monae Miller’s ministry is dedicated to liberating the praise in each individual by encouraging them to praise God in their own unique way. John 4:24 says “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” She believes that worship should be organic and not confused with emotions. Emotions are transient and cannot be used to measure your relationship with God. You should have open intimacy with God. Monae encourages spirit-led, open participatory meetings to ensure each individual has an opportunity to experience Christ in his purest form.
Monae’s music has been compared to Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Lisa McClendon, and India Arie. She started out playing the piano when she was 8 years old but transitioned to the acoustic guitar in 2014. She has loved the acoustic guitar ever since. She does write her own songs or collaborates with other great writers. Monae gets inspiration from sermons, personal bible study, or life experiences. She has been called to be a Praise and Worship Leader at A Breath of Praise Community Church in Round Rock, TX since the beginning of 2016. She had previously been the Praise and Worship Leader at The Harvest in Dallas, TX from 2010 to 2015.
